A thunderous laughter eclipsed the classroom as Santos finished reading the poem I wrote for Damzy.
I wished the ground could open and swallow me up but it seems God doesn’t answer that kind of prayers.
I didn’t know what to do with shame.
There’s this Nsukka dialect exclamation that Bishop Alex often said and Santos re-echoed it to me me alongside the students.
