MMA’S VISIT

“…Awka was relatively peaceful, calm and soothing. A very sharp contrast to what Social Media Content creators painted Anambra to be.

I didn’t see hooligans trying to snatch my phone or full fledged young men haggardly dressed with upsidedown button and sloppy shirt collars in a fashion that exposed their bellies.

Upon enquiry, I was meant to understand that such people are only seen in the innermost ghettos of Onitsha and Obosi, but generally, Anambra people are well behaved civilized people who are focused on their jobs and businesses.

That would prove to be true as over the next one year, I only witnessed a people who went against all odds to legitimately make a living and make their village people people proud at the end of every year when they go home for Christmas to showcase their achievements.

After settling down over the next two weeks, we received our second Allawee and Mma and I planned for her to visit.

She set out from Gombe to Enugu after her CDS on Thursday. We remained remained in contact until she arrived Awka on Friday evening.

That Friday, I woke very early and cleaned everywhere. Not just my room but also the sitting room, the kitchen, the veranda, I even uprooted some of the grasses that I felt were overgrown.

As you should have known, all my clothes were well ironed, my bedsheets were thoroughly washed and scented with nice perfume. The toilets were sparkling clean. I even had to buy fuel for the lodge generator in case NEPA decides to be NEPA.

I went to Aroma junction to receive Mma after she told me her bus driver said they were close to Unizik.

She was obviously looking tired, famished and exhausted when she came down from the bus. We hugged passionately and almost forgot ourselves if not for the Okada men that start laughing and making noise.

She had been in a bus on bad Nigerian roads for 2 days because of love. So even the chanting of over 15 Okada men couldn’t make us shy. Ije love erika.

We entered Keke drop back to the lodge. We needed to be comfortable, so we didn’t enter Okada. Our Allawee recently entered after all.

I quickly got her bath water ready. Of course it was warm water. She requested that I join her in the bathroom and help bath her since she was “tired”.

🤷🏾‍♂️Who turns down that kind of request? Come and see the shouting and hailing from other Corp members, especially the Yoruba guy, Kunle. The thing was just “sweeting” him like he has never seen 2 lovers before.

It was my first time of sharing a bathroom with a woman since my disastrous SUG election outing that killêd and buried my relationship with Amaka. So it was an awesome feeling once again.

It’s not from my mouth that you will hear what happened in the bathroom. All I know is that cleaning the bathroom and ensuring there was no drop of dirt actually paid off wonderfully well.

After dinner, we went to bed and Mma had to sleep for most of the night. It was actually great to have her sleeping in my arms.

However, while she slept, I was chatting for most part of the night.

Until that night, I never knew that women find a man more attractive and desire him more when they find out that he is in a sweet relationship.

Oge and Aisha, two of the female Corp members sharing the lodge with us were chatting with me all night, almost trying to flir*t with me. And trying to emphasize how lucky Mma was to have me.

I was chatting with them separately for most part of the night.
