“…The Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC started having issues with our Ọga at the top.
They froze his accounts, so payments started being delayed. From being delayed, it stopped completely.
Oga at the top refused to tell us exactly what was going on. All we knew was that newspapers were saying that our own MBA Forex is scam and we have been duped.
We refused to listen to them. It’s just a shame how reputable Newspapers will allow themselves to peddle fake News.
Hundreds of people who invested through us were calling us 24/7.
We kept telling them that everything was moving fine. No cause for alarm. They will soon receive their payments.
We were truly unmoved because we have come to believe strongly in this. Our faith in MBA FOREX was unmatched. So whoever it is that was talking against MBA Forex was either jealous, ignorant or both.
We went to the extent of settling customers that were worrying us too much with our own money, to prove to them that nothing was happening. People were just crying wolf where there’s none.
It was EFCC that finally broke our hearts when they published the photo of our Ọga at the top, with the bold inscription: WANTED!
They claimed he was wanted for 213 Billion naira fraud. It was shattering.
At that point, our own accounts were almost empty as we had spent everything paying back to some people.
Now that our Ọga was on the run, we too had to go underground.
We first moved into a cheap hotel in Abakpa, then searched for a house inside Amorji Nike and moved into a flat with all that we had.
We wanted to stay low until the whole issue died down, then we can pick up our lives from the scratch again.
One week after we moved in, Landlord wanted to have a general meeting with his tenants. We didn’t know the landlord as all the deals were between us and the Agent and lawyer.
That evening proved to be one of the worst days of our lives. We came downstairs and sat down, and the meeting started.
Everything was going well until Chukwuma disagreed with the landlord on one of the points he made. The landlord used the flashlight to see who was talking and immediately recognized Chukwuma as the MBA FOREX guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, that was how they started beating us oohh. They beat us black, blue, orange, green and yellow.
It happened that out landlord was one of our biggest downliners who put in over 50 million into the scheme and he also convinced a lot of people including his tenants to register.
All of them gather me and Chukwuma and beat us to pulp. Then took us to the police station.
At the police station, matters even got worse. Some of the police men and women claimed to have invested in one forex scam or the other.
Knocks, slaps and jabs were just coming from all corners with numerous curses that accompanied the beatings.
It didn’t end there. When we were put in the cell, they asked us what we did, and we told them, those people started beating us too.
Even the drums of Pammy Udubonchi musical Group never witnessed the kind of beatings we witnessed that day.
Meanwhile, our girlfriends only received abuses, no beating and no arrest. It was at that point that Flavour’s song began to resonate; “To be a man…”
