FROM FOREX TO FOREST

“…For two weeks, Chukwuma and I thought about our trajectory in life.

If we should pick up another bar or hotel job, it would mean we had to resort to sharp practices again to earn something meaningful.

The money we had wasn’t enough for us to start up a business. We had to find a way quickly as our house rent was ticking.

There was this my friend that was always posting his forex trade charts on WhatsApp, stipulating how much profits he makes from forex and crypto trading.

Most times, his profits are mind-blowing and I wondered if legitimate money was that easy.

I talked to Chukwuma about it, and we decided to learn forex and crypto trading.

Ladies and gentlemen, you won’t believe how much he charged us for him to teach us! He first started with calling one thousand dollars.

At that time, it was equivalent to 350,000 naira.

We started begging him until he agreed to teach us for 100k because of old times sake.

We downloaded several applications and started learning.

For the next one month, we had learnt enough to start trading, according to him.

We first started trading with 50 dollars each. For the first one month, it was all sweet and smooth.

Using technical analysis, we were making 2k, 3k sometimes 10k per day. That was awesome if you asked me.

Finally, our lives were coming together and we can make something meaningful out of our lives. Akụkọ.

Forex treated us the way Christians and Muslims treat their fowls and Rams.

It fed us fat and took good care of us while waiting for Christmas or Salah to take us to the great beyond and feast on us.

We were making good money step by step, we were able to pay our house rent and could afford other basic necessities. So the wise thing to do was to reinvest our earnings in Forex and increase our capital base.

Within six months, our capital had grown to over 2,000 dollars each. Life was going well.

Then one day, we set up a trade as usual. Set our take profit and stop loss. Everything was set as usual and we were having fun.

At a point I dropped the laptop to go and urinate.

Ladies and gentlemen, when I came back, the trade gone with the speed of light past my take profit, giving me over 10,000% profit and in the next second, it came down passing my take loss to the rock bottom, making sure nothing was left of my capital. Then it quietly went back to normal.

I couldn’t understand what was going on. I thought it was all a joke or a glitch.

I went to Jeffrey Benson’s telegram channel to see what’s going on and everyone was complaining of the same thing.

Then my friend that taught us began telling us about psychology this and that. Emotional control that and this, as it was the best way to succeed as a Forex trader.

I was not hearing anything he was saying. My head wan blow.

Abeg, Forex traders, na wetin una dey see be this?
