“There is a man here! Your problem is too much! You have suffered! Life has been unfair to you! You are now an object of piiityyy!
The man here is wearing a white shirt, blue trousers, black shoe and is slightly tall. If you are the one, come up”.
That was Evangelist Nduka Obi speaking on the first day I went to his prayer ministry. Though the shirt I was wearing was more brown than white, what secondary school students used to call ‘it was white’, and my trousers was dark blue, actually more black than blue and of course, I was wearing black shoes.
I contemplated for a while on whether to come out or not, then the women were urging me to go out. I had to claim the prophecy even though I had doubts whether it’s truly me.
I came out and the ushers rushed to me with a microphone and I sensed that the interview process was about to begin.
If it was the old Duke, I would have prepared myself to doubt every one of his prophecy and prove him wrong, but this new Duke has been beaten black and blue by a combination of Nigeria, adulthood and misfortune.
So I was eager to accept everything he was saying. Let it all be real so that this problem can be solved once and for all, let me succeed like my mates. The following dialogue ensued;
Nduka Obi: You are a graduate right?
Me: Yes sir.
Nduka Obi: You have done all kinds of works but none paid you well?
Me: Yes sir.
Nduka Obi: You have done Ponzi, betting, crypto all kinds of things, yet you failed and you’re frustrated.
Me: though I have never done sports betting in my entire life, I still answered Yes sir.
Nduka Obi: It’s as if once you are close to hitting it big everything will scatter. Is that correct?
Me: Yes Sir.
Nduka Obi: Even your girlfriend has left you because she doesn’t want to suffer.
Me: Yes sir.(though in my heart, I was wondering if it’s Mma or Amaka that he was talking).
Nduka Obi: You are fed up and you said you must meet the man of God before you do any other thing again.
Me: Yes Sir.
Nduka Obi: Do I know you before?
Me: No
Nduka Obi: have you met me before?
Me: No
Nduka Obi: So how did I know all these?
Honestly, I didn’t know what to answer, then the women and few men around were urging me to say that he is a true man of God, and I said it.
Then the church erupted in praises and beating of drums. The Evangelist held my forehead and started praying. After 1 minute or so, he told me to meet him in the office for counseling. I thanked him and went back to my seat.
I was feeling on top of the world like someone who met God face to face. Chukwuma was not that lucky to be spotted by the evangelist.
After the service, we went to meet him but they said we must pay 10k each. Whaaaaaattt?
We thought it was a joke but none of those stewardesses was joking, with their faces like wicked Village aunties.
No wonder why they still looked poor and wretched despite being close to the great Evangelist Nduka Obi. It’s because of their stone hearts. Mtcheeeewww.
We looked for where to borrow but we couldn’t found any. All those we went to suggested loan apps. So we eventually succumbed and got the loan from the loan app. We got 30k.
Then we went inside and met the man of God!
Guess what he told us?
