That night was the most restless for me yet. I didn’t know whether it was the visuals of Damzy walking to her seat replaying over and over and over in my head that troubled me, or the thought of the best line to use when I chat her up.
First impression matters a whole lot you know. And as they say, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.
Should I start with poem, so she knows the kind of poetry magic fingers that I am?
Should I just be Civil and straightforward and act all matured?
They said ladies love funny guys. Should I start with jokes? Ọkọtọ karịrị.
I didn’t know what to say. I couldn’t also enlist the helps of my friends. Those idiots would laugh ceaselessly at me.
I have always told them that they were wasting their lives by chasing women. And now I need their help to do the same thing?
Mbanụ! I browsed through the internet but couldn’t find the best pick up line to use while talking to Damzy.
I finally summoned courage to text her.
I decided to keep it simple.
I started with “Xup”. And to my utmost surprised, she replied immediately. She even called me “dear”. What a marvelous God we serve!
For the next 2 hours, I was chatting back to back to back with Damzy, whom I have now found out her real name was Ijeọma. What a sweet name ❤️. If e no sweet for you, e sweet for me. Infact, any name that girl bears is a sweet name. Fullstop!
I was in cloud 9. This Angelic beauty is chatting freely with me and we are talking about everything. Wow! She must have fallen deeply in love with me.
In fact, I was already visualizing our wedding, how our kids would look and how we would go on sweet vacations. Leave imaginations for poets.
I would later learn a very bitter lesson that jovial, chatty and easy going girls are the hardest to get.
