Political Communication Expert / Founder, Cardinal Global Ltd

When stories are well told, society becomes better informed, leaders accountable, and nations move forward.

Ugwuagbo Emmanuel Chizoba, a.k.a Zoba de Great, is a political communication expert from Enugu, now based in Kigali. He has spent a decade in the place where media, politics and technology meet, and he now works there full time as the founder of Cardinal Global Ltd, a political intelligence and strategy firm.

He holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Mass Communication from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, where he is completing a doctorate on deepfakes, media credibility and audience trust, read through the Elaboration Likelihood Model. The question underneath the work is simple and getting harder to answer. When anything can be fabricated convincingly, what does an audience decide to believe, and why.

He came to strategy through the newsroom. He was Head of Station at ATU News until March 2026, founded and directed Coal City Television, and began in radio as Head of Production at ESUT Radio 106.5 FM. In government and campaigns he served as Technical Assistant on New Media to the Governor of Enugu State, and worked as political communication strategist on Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji's gubernatorial campaign, shaping the messaging around the POWER Agenda. He was Online Director at Daily Star Newspapers.

Cardinal Global Ltd is registered in Rwanda and works with candidates and public offices. Alongside it he builds software under ZDG HUB, where he has shipped Nestify, Coursia and more than twenty commissioned sites across Nigeria.

My Daily Paragraph is the column. It has one rule. Say the true thing clearly, and say it before it is comfortable to say.

Deepfakes, Media Credibility and Audience Trust: Examining the Believability of Online Broadcast News Videos Among Digital News Consumers in South East Nigeria

The study asks what a Nigerian audience does when a broadcast news video can no longer be trusted on sight. It reads believability through the Elaboration Likelihood Model, separating the viewers who scrutinise a claim from the far larger number who judge it by peripheral cues, and it tests which of those cues survive contact with a convincing fake.
